John Young, the great american astronaut who revolves around the Moon, and strolls on its rocky surface has passed away. NASA has given this information. John Young, who traveled six times in space, made the world record for spending most of the time in space.
According to the space agency, John was 87 years old and died on Friday due to pneumonia. He lived in a suburb of Houston, located just off the NASA Space Center. The agency's administrator Roberts Lichtfute said, "NASA and the world have lost a leading man. We will go ahead on his achievements. "
John Young was born on September 24, 1930 in California. After this his family moved to Georgia John Young achieved Aeronautical Engineering degree in 1952 with the highest marks from Georgia Technology. After graduating he joined the Navy and trained to fly fighter planes.
42 years of life spent in space programs
John Young Gemini went into space from Apollo and took part in space shuttle programs. He spent 42 years of his life in space programs. As head of the astronaut group, he served 13 years and played a leading role in space-flight training.
