10% of the population of the United States forced to sleep on the streets

One youth out of ten in the United States of America is homeless. Young people aged 18 to 25 years are the victims of this. This claim has been made in the 2016-17 survey by Chapin Hall, the youth policy center of the University of Chicago. According to the survey report, youth are becoming homeless due to low wages, expensive rent, and family volatility.  Few of them are forced to sleep at friends’ home, sleep in a car. Most f them are forced to sleep on road to spend the night.

In this survey, 26 thousand people across the country were asked to talk about how many youth, children and families are homeless. The result turned out to be shocking. It is found that ten percent of the youth are homeless. In this calculation, there are 35 Lakh young people in the US homeless. The number of juveniles forced to stay out of the house is 6.6 Lakh.
According to researchers, children fleeing home have the highest risk of being homeless when they are growing as adults. Many times they have to be forced to leave home even though they are homosexuals. For the first time, such a survey has revealed a picture of America's homeless youth population.

According to researcher Matthew Mortal, his motive was to break the illusion that most elderly are homeless. The survey found that college-going students, graduates and small-time job-seekers are also struggling for permanent housing. From village to cities, this problem is everywhere. Among the homeless people are the elderly, young and child all. According to government figures last year, the number of homeless families has increased by 30%. Children and their parents are more homeless than adults living in Washington.
