The Sikh Committee in America has issued a decree against Indian officials. Sikh Coordination Committee East Coast (SCCEC) and American Gurdwara Management Committee have banned the entry of Indian officials in
their 96 gurdwaras. This decision has been taken in the 1984 Sikh Riots for the demand of justice. These bans will also be applicable to the officials of the Kirtan and religious programs. The Sikh Group of Sikhs, the Sikh Group, says that we can also take legal action against any officer who tries to oppose the ban. This order was told by the custodian of the SCCEC, Himmat Singh, on Thursday at Richmond Hill, New York.
This verdict has come to the fore, when some 14 days before the Canada's 14 Gurdwara had applied the ban on Indian officials. Not only this, many gurdwaras in the UK have been banned. However, it has been clarified later that if the Ambassador comes personally to the gurdwara, there is no restriction on him.
